The Tom & Will 36 series tenor sax bag brings together the best features from our previous bags along with a handle, crossover single zip easy opening, heavy duty oversized Tom & Will zips throughout, high density padding, two lined pockets, padded crook pouch and our hideaway backpack and shoulder strap carrying system.

Additional features

Our 36 series woodwind bags feature the best quality high density padding that is available today. The interior linings we have selected are so soft and luxurious that you’ll want to get inside the case yourself!

The TWD crossover single zip opening has oversized heavy duty oversized Tom & Will double opening zips that are easy to use and durable.

Versatile hideaway backpack system

All our straps and handles are riveted as well as cross stitched with high tensile threads. We have invested considerable time and effort to make sure that our handles and straps are not just comfortable, but long lasting as well.

The hideaway backpack and shoulder strap carrying system is designed to fit all - you can hold it like a ruck sack over your back with easy tightening & loosening pull straps which can disappear out of sight by tucking them away inside the breathable back pad.

Suitable for most tenor sax models

The Tom & Will bag will protect just about any tenor sax from a Selmer classic, modern Yamaha custom and any budget student instrument besides.

The tenor sax bag also features colour coordinated side pads with and adjustable side pads for a really snug fit and especially helpful if running or riding a bicycle.

I was a little concerned taking my Yanigazawa out of the protection of its hard case but needs must as I really needed something lighter to carry. I shouldn't have worried as the sax fits sufficiently snugly to prevent much movement and the padding seems substantial. The best feature for me are the backpack straps which are so well designed, strong and comfortable it actually feels like a backpack rather than a gig bag. Only negative is the size of the neck and mouthpiece bags which are too small to close properly. This feels like a let down when the bag is so good. Also the main zip feels like it's on the bottom of the bag when it should be on the top when you lay it down but I expect I'll get used to it. Overall I'd definitely recommend it!

Summary: pros massively outweigh the cons and this is the best case I've seen, especially for the price. Pro: Lightweight, strong and compact case that offers decent protection. The backpack straps and padding for your back are superb. It's a proper backpack and as a result feels much lighter on your back than a case where backpack straps are an afterthought. The lining is really nice and soft, but with stiff foam underneath to protect the saxophone from impact and scratching Con: The neck pouch is not quite big enough for my Yamaha neck. Functionally it is fine because the exposed neck has no chance of hitting the bell, but the drawstring doesn't close over it fully. The mouthpiece pouch doesn't quite fit my Jody Jazz HR* in its plastic cover. The logo is a little cartoonish given how stylish the bag is otherwise. Observations: The main zip feels like it's on the wrong side. When you place the case down with backpack straps on the floor and the zip pocket at the top, the main zip is on the bottom of the case, not the top (contrary to every suitcase or backpack I've used). I guess this is because it's common to lay the case down and assemble the backpack straps, in which case this might actually be a pro.

I spent quite a while trying to decide between all of the gig bags on the market and settled on this one and I've not been disappointed. The bag has a really rugged feel, but lightweight. The styling has a slightly "urban" /modern feel and look without being over done. The padding provides sufficient protection for when out and about. Lots of room for books and small accessories. So far I'm really pleased with the purchase.

Well padded and comfortable. Comes with two pouches to hold the neck and the mouthpiece (I assume), but the neck pouch could be just slightly bigger to hold my Yamaha's neck properly. Other than that, has an additional pocket for miscellaneous which will be pretty useful for sheet music and reeds. Happy with the purchase.

I bought my son a Tom and Will gig bag for his alto sax last year, and was so impressed with it that I had to buy another for my tenor. They are excellent quality, light, protective, and easy to carry. My hefty old tenor with its big bell fits in snugly. It's so easy to carry - a far cry from the 'coffin' I used to carry around in my school days. The only downside is, it's not as good for sitting on waiting for the bus!

i just received my tom and will case for tenor sax,i complained about the case i have three sax and i can clearly say that the gig bag for tenor and very above in quality and functionality while remaining very affordable i highly recommend and will put my most precious sax without worries.

I received my tenor sax gig bag as a Christmas present. I'm very impressed with the quality of the product and have very quickly got used to using it - much more convenient than the 'coffin' I used before. Many thanks, and keep up the good work!

I needed a lightweight tenor sax bag for going to gigs and jam sessions. This bag is ideal. It is lightweight, includes good padding to protect the sax, and has separate compartments for all this extras.

My existing Yamaha case was proving so heavy and awkward to carry so after a few searches I found the Tom and Will Gig bag. Ordered via Amazon and promptly arrived two days later. I am very impressed with the quality of the case, although it is lightweight, it is extremely sturdy and well made with a nice solid zip. Handles and straps are riveted to the case and the back of the bag and straps have a nice mesh finish. The bag is lined internally with a plush red velvet like fabric and the sax fits very snugly. Overall I m very impressed with the design and pleased with my purchase. Highly recommended if you are in the market for a new gig bag.

Great quality and design. The back straps are sturdy and also can be packed away making this a really convenient way to carry my tenor sax. Much lighter than my hard case and also fits in my car boot. The interior is so plush, I want to climb in there myself!

Well designed and well padded. Makes you feel confident the sax is secure and protected. Love the fact that the straps pack away if not in use. Really well designed - wish this was the design of my Alto bag :-( Considering purchasing the soprano version .... ;-)

I bought the previous version of this bag and I'm glad to have chosen this brand! Extremely comfortable, very cool design and perfect shape!

Really pleased to find a well priced bag with backpack straps that is also attractive. The GOOD: - Good quality: nice material, sturdy, good zips, well attached straps, v soft inside etc - Tenor Sax fits snugly and doesn't shift around much - Backpack straps also have waistband for super stability when riding bike (can verify this!) The BAD: - Crook and mouthpiece bags a bit on the awkwardly small side. They fit, but it its very tight. - Internal pockets don't give an obvious place to put music + pockets within the second section quite small, great for reeds but not much else. - Perhaps needs some rigid sections for protection, but debatable as it's well padded and not trying to be a flight case or whatever. SUMMARY: Sturdy, good quality gig bag - ideal for cycling/transport, though doesnt fit much else! Would recommend +

I have just received a 36TS tenor saxophone bag. Overall, very impressed by the quality and the lightweight. It was the riveted strap and cringes that attracted me in the online description, as I've got through two cheap bags when the webbing frayed on the strap anchorages. The waist strap should help relieve the wear and tear on the shoulder straps, too. I like the luxurious soft finish to the lining. Final positive point: the zips look really excellent, especially the large pulls. Negative points: the pouches for the crook and mouthpiece are very small (too small to hold them completely). The large side pocket isn't big enough for anything larger than unbound A4 music. The two internal pockets inside the side pocket are too shallow to fit bulky items such as a glasses case or the rainproof cover I carry for the bag. Otherwise, great!
